Project Description
Executive summary of the Financial Hub, a platform developed under the Transition to Electromobility in Brazilian Cities Project. This platform aims to connect Brazilian municipalities that have electromobility projects in public transport with funders interested in supporting these projects.
At least ten cities in Brazil have already piloted electric buses, and others are looking to learn about the technical and financial aspects of accessing finance and introducing electric buses into their public transport systems. The Financial Hub was developed to accelerate this transition, providing a way for cities to find funders and expand the possibilities for electromobility adoption.
The Transition to Electromobility in Brazilian Cities Project, financed by the Clean Technology Fund, the CTF, of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), is the result of partnerships: the World Bank, the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) and the Brazilian Institute of Development and Sustainability (IABS).
