Project Description
The Technical Reference Manual (TRM) for Electromobility in Brazilian Cities – Volume I covers basic information about electric buses, progress in Brazilian cities and barriers to technology adoption. It explores social, environmental and economic impacts, presenting recommendations for planning and implementing electric bus systems, business models and means of project implementation. It also indicates procedures for monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of electric buses. TRM aims to support the transition to electric buses, promoting sustainable and inclusive public transport.
The Transition to Electromobility in Brazilian Cities Project, financed by the Clean Technology Fund, the CTF, of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), is the result of partnerships: the World Bank, the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) and the Brazilian Institute of Development and Sustainability (IABS).
